The PCCC program is a new Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) program to provide eligible Veterans access to health care through a comprehensive network of community-based, non-VA medical professionals who meet VA quality standards when VA must supplement care outside its own facilities. These health care professionals are accredited in accordance with URAC Health Network Accreditation standards and meet all VA and PCCC program requirements.
The PCCC program provides inpatient and outpatient specialty care and behavioral health care for eligible Veterans when the local VA Medical Center (VAMC) cannot provide the services, such as when there is a lack of available specialists, there are long wait times or there is an extraordinary distance from the Veteranís home.
Before the implementation of this new program, Chiropractic Care and other specialty services were largely unavailable to our Veterans in need. Oftentimes, musculoskeletal pain / conditions were treated with either pain killers or muscle relaxers or with nothing at all. All too frequently, our veterans developed drug dependencies on their medications with no resolution of their conditions.
Chiropractic Care and Neuromuscular rehabilitation offers a drugless approach to relieving pain and oftentimes an improvement or resolution of many musculoskeletal conditons.
